Quote:Usually I'd spec on every pet:
- growl
- avoidance
- cobra reflexes
- and your pets special attacks or whatever skill your pet has. Usually 2-3 skills
These are the important ones to get. After this
I usually go with the first 2 ranks of each resistance. Then I fill in with Sta and Armor.
If you are a NE then you may have a use for Prowl, otherwise dont waste your time. Same goes for Cower, its useless. If
a tank cannot hold threat on your pet with growl off then leave the group ASAP.
I am a BM hunter with 2 points in Endurance Training and nothing in Thick Hide or Catlike Reflexes. My pet (Ravager) currently has
5640 health
9668 armor
62 to all resists
Growl 8
Dash 3
Gore 9
Bite 8
I have no problem keeping him up in instances and all of kara, omit Shade and Prince, he we don't do so well there at keeping him alive.

DrakaNo, you won't have the points to max everything. You'll have to decide which things you like the most.
Usually I'd spec on every pet:

- avoidance
- cobra reflexes

After those it depends on what you like to do with your pet.
If you plan to fight mostly melee mobs and have your pet tanking them, you'll want armor and stamina.
If you fight mostly caster opponents then training the appropriate resistances is more important.
If you want to do mostly raids and instances (your pet will not tank anything there), then you want
a mix of stamina and resistances for the remaining training points.

I'm nearing 70 with a cat.
I have claw &bite, with dash ready to be learned, but with the natural armor, stamina, avoidance, and random other skills its hard to fit them all in. At 70 whats the common use of points? Will I have enough to max out all those skills?
